24 Martial Arts mean those recorded on the Martial Arts Training Textbook as compiled by Lee Deok-mu and Park Je-ga, realists who received orders from King Jeongjo, and Baek Dong-su, a master of martial arts in 1790. The Martial Arts Training Textbook was made by accepting both the martial arts from Joseon Dynasty and the excellent martial arts from China and Japan. As practiced by the soldiers of Jang Yong Yeong, the picked force of the then Joseon Dynasty stationed in Hwaseong, they have high historic, artistic and athletic value as immaterial cultural properties.
